Forecast Details and Terms

Turbulence Forecast offers personalized forecasts via email and the most accurate automated turbulence forecasts available.

Upon submitting your request, you’ll get an automated confirmation followed by a personalized acknowledgment noting when you can expect your forecast. Before you depart our team will track your flight’s expected route and check several weather maps and sources to tell you what conditions are in store for your flight(s). We usually write forecasts in the morning and evening hours in the U.S. eastern time zone, and aim to get reports to you approximately 3-12 hours prior to takeoff.

Our accurate automated forecasts can be booked any time, and will begin sending reports 42* hours prior to departure. Automated forecasts are great for short notice – you can get instant results any time within 42 hours pre-departure, and you’ll get periodic updates when new information is available as flight time comes nearer.

  • For Handcrafted Forecasts only, a $99 fee applies to each change, cancellation, or refund requested after a forecast has been submitted.

  • Connections under 12 hours are included for handcrafted forecasts
  • You agree to wear your seat belt at all times, and you agree we are not liable in any way
  • Our sole remedy to you is your fee paid
  • You will receive:
    • An automatic acknowledgement within minutes.
    • A personal acknowledgement when your personalized forecast request is read (typically 6-12 hours after initial request).
    • Your final personalized forecast 2-12 hours before your flight, depending on map schedule and your flight times. Typically written twice a day, 10am and 11pm Eastern.
    • Automated Forecasts are delivered instantly if the flight is less than 42 hours away (120 for Navigator subscribers), and at around the 42 hour window if you schedule it in advance. After your first forecast, you will receive updates 30, 24, 12, and 6 hours prior to departure. A final updated forecast will be delivered approximately 45 minutes prior to departure.
